Types of Flooring
A1 Wood Floors has a wide range of stylish flooring and decking solutions to suit any requirement from hotels and corporate offices to coffee shops and residential homes, we have it all. Choose from our many options, all of which have been selected for their versatility and durability. Our products include:
- Solid T&G timber flooring
- Bamboo
- Laminates
- Prefinished engineered veneer
- Reeded outdoor decking
The most popular solid wood flooring is installed by directly fixing the floorboards onto the concrete using polyurethane adhesives. Floating floors, laminate or veneer types, are also becoming more popular and can be price-driven items. We don’t like to be beaten for price on these products, however, it is important to keep in mind the pros and cons of each type of flooring. Our specialised wood-flooring showroom is the best forum to make these comparisons and our team will explain the wood ratings so you can make an informed decision.

Important points to consider
Please be advised that colour is not a criterion in grading timber, and it cannot be considered grounds for rejection or complaint. Colours do vary within a tree, and from tree to tree, making it a natural component of flooring.
Should we enter into a colour-grading arrangement with the customer on commercial terms, it should be clearly stated in the schedule of works. Where a significant variation within a batch of timber is evident, we will ensure a reasonable distribution of the variation thru-out the floor.
Showroom samples may vary to products supplied. A1 Wood Floors or our suppliers are not obligated to consider natural variations of colour or texture in timber. When colour is critical to a purchaser, staining of timber can be considered to create a more even blend. More information on staining can be obtained from our experienced team if necessary.
